-As Part Of Commitment

By R. Joyclyn Wea

As part of commitment to country and people, the Alternative National Congress (ANC) on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 officially launched its information resource center in Sinkor in at the Headquarters of the party.

The initiative was made possible by members of the ANC USA as part of its contribution to the party in Liberia.

Making remark during the launched, ANC Political leader,  Alexander Cummings said the initiative is part of the party’s commitment to the nation and the people of Liberia.

Cummings explained that both young and old will have free access to the facility but clarify that the center is not limited to ANC partisans, but rather Liberians in general who want to get information from the web.

According to him, the ANC will look out for opportunities to demonstrate in deeds rather than words saying “the ANC USA has identified several things to be considered in moving the agenda of the party forward but most importantly, to move the country agenda forward in whatever way as an opposition political party.”

Cummings hold back from releasing the cost of the initiative but want people focus on the value and relief this would bring to the nation and people.

He further disclosed that there will be other initiatives under taken by the party in the coming weeks, months and years regarding the general challenges Liberia is faced with and not a particular issue.

Making the presentation, ANC USA representative, Welma Mashini Red said while it is true the initiative comes in the week of the result by WACE which saw many Liberian students failing, it is not a respond to the mass failure in the WASSCE examinations.

According to her, this has been in process long before the releasing of the WASSCE results and that it does not in any way prompt the initiative by the ANC.
