System As WFWP-Liberia Acting President Madam Thelma Howard Looks On
Madam Ayumi Hasegawa, who is an international volunteer of Women Federation for World Peace, is in the country as guest of the Liberian charter of the organization and the Peace Hana School System.
Located in Paynesville, outside Monrovia, the Peace Hana School System is a subsidiary of Women Federation.
Accordingly, as part of her many activities, Madam Hasegawa visited the Peace Hana School System and made a donation of several educational and non-educational materials to kids at that institution.
Speaking in an interview with this paper following the donation, the Japanese missionary said her visit is intended to share her love and joy with young school kids and promote personal hygiene among them (kids).
The Women Federation international volunteer pointed out that her visit is also geared to promote the programs and activities of Women Federation-Liberia and the Peace Hana School System.
“Since 1994, the Women Federation for World Peace visited Liberia and the Peace Hana School System was established in 1998. Since then, Japan has also been supportive to the Peace Hana School System,” she stated.
“I came here today to present some football and other sports materials, educational materials and hygiene materials because we want to see the children play sports and practice good hygiene as they go to school,” Missionary Hasegawa maintained.
Hasegawa said decided to plan her trip at the Peace Hana School System on International True Parent Day so as to encourage parents to exhibit love towards their children.
“Today is celebrated across the world as True Parents Day and so we are here to share love with the kids, and teach our parents how to have time and love for their children,” she indicated.
In remarks, the acting President of Women Federation for World Peace-Liberia, Madam Thelma Howard, lauded Missionary Hasegawa for her continued support to the children of Liberia, especially in the education sector.
Madam Howard said the gesture by the Japanese Missionary was not the first of its kind, noting that she has on numerous occasions identified with the school and the organization.
“As she has done in the past, she has come to give her love to Liberian children; she loves Liberia so much and so this is why she is here today to share her joy with the children on this day,” Thelma among other things added.
