‘Political Dissidents’

-CDC Chairman Labels Woods, Tokpa

The Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Mulbah Morlu has described two Liberian politicians as ‘political dissidents.’

Speaking over the weekend at the party’s headquarters in Congo Town, Morlu named former Public Works Minister Samuel Kofi Woods and Professor Alaric Tokpa as ‘political dissidents’

“The likes of Kofi Woods and Alaric Tokpa, these are political dissidents that were very active in exploiting our country for 12 years period. In every government they are there, exploiting that government and when they are tired of that government they run from that government and become critics and advocates,” Morlu said.

He said the two Liberians are among people responsible for the current economic hardship the ordinary Liberian people are going through and the CDC is not complaining about it, but would fix it at all cost.

Morlu asserted that the utterances of the likes of Woods and Tokpa are not patriotic, but they are prophets of doom, elements provocateurs that are praying for the demands of the country.

“Former President Sirleaf and her co-hosts, some of whom were on radio just yesterday are responsible for devastating our economy that we inherited so, President Weah is cleaning the mess that they have created,” Morlu noted

The CDC chairman noted that President George Weah is the product of God and the popular will of the Liberian people, thus, anyone coming after the Liberian leader would be resisted by the Liberian people themselves.

The CDC Chairman comments come as a result of recent comments made by the two Liberian politicians against the CDC led government

Professor Tokpa recently described President Weah as a ‘dangerous dictator’ that is threading the democracy of the country and if not properly handled might get out of hand.

While, the former Public Works Minister recently condemned the recent action carried out by some alleged residents of the old road community against their Representative, Yekeh Kolubah. TNR
