The Salvation Army Head Of Mission Welcomes President Weah Meeting With Political Leaders

-As He Bid Farewell To Liberia After Five Years Of Service

The outgoing Head of Mission of the Salvation Liberia and Sierra Leone Command Lt. Col Samuel Amponsah says he welcomes the idea of President George Weah calling various political parties to discuss problems confronting the country.

According to the outgoing Head of Mission of the Salvation Army Liberia and Sierra Leone Command, the best way to solve any problem is to identify the problem and call on the rightful people to discuss it.

Speaking recently at the Len Millar Gym in Sinkor, Monrovia, the Salvation Army outgoing head of Mission urged all political parties to work with the current government for the betterment of the Country.

He was quick to mention that Liberia is the only country that all Liberians can boast of; therefore; everyone should work for its development from all directions in order to pave a good path for the upcoming generations.

Lt. Col. Samuel Amponsah addressing several members of the Salvation Army from the fifteen sub-political divisions of Liberia stressed that Liberia needs to regain her status amongst the comity of Nations, nothing that can only happen when the citizens are united for one common goal.

At the same time, The Salvation Army Head of mission also used the occasion to call on all Salvationists to hold together and maintain the unity he has built amongst them while serving as head of mission in Liberia.

According to him, with the help of the leadership the Salvation Army he was able to reach every part of Liberia under his administration something he added that is good but cautioned them to maintain those properties of the Salvation Army in the 15 sub-political divisions of Liberia.

The outgoing head of mission made mention of some of the properties acquired doing his administration as the Albert Orsborn Elementary, Junior and Sr. High school in Kakata, Margibi County, the modern Church constructed in Arthington city, Montserrado County, the church in Grand Bassa County, Lofa, Gbapolu, and Grand Cape Mount Counties among many others.

Also speaking on behave of the employees of the Salvation Army Liberia and Sierra Leone command, the Director of Education, David S. Massaquoi Sr. lauded the outgoing head of Mission for his vision for the growing of the Salvation Army Liberia and Sierra Leone.

According to Director Massaquoi, all sectors of the Salvation Army in Liberia and Sierra Leone will miss the Head of Mission because of what he calls his good leadership style and his development orientation.

Director Massaquoi disclosed that the education department of the Salvation immensely benefited from the good leadership of Lt. Col. Samuel Amponsah and his team at the headquarters of the mission in Sinkor.

He used the occasion to call on the outgoing head of Mission not to forget about the Liberia command as he takes over as Territorial commander in Ghana adding his pieces of advice will always be needed in Liberia.

Lt. Col. Samuel Amponsah and his wife Lt. Col. Hagar Amponsah have served the Salvation Army Liberia and Sierra Leone Command for the past six years in various positions ranging from auditor, General Secretary and Officer Commanding (Bishop). Now they are leaving for another bigger position in Ghana under the Salvation Army International.
