Nimba County electoral district seven Representative Roger Domah has been honored by the Patriotic Consciousness Association of Liberia (PACA) for demonstrating astute leadership, patriotism and being so compassionate of his people.

The Nimba district seven lawmaker was on Tuesday June 30, 2020 awarded as the ‘Outstanding Grassroots Lawmaker in 2020’ in appreciation of his works in his district and beyond.

The Unity Party stalwart got praises from the organization’s executives and members for what they called ‘invaluable services to the Liberian people, and Nimba County in particular in promoting genuine national reconciliation, numerous development initiatives across his district and immediate environs’

Speaking at the honoring ceremony, the National Executive Chairman of PACA, E. Frederick Baye who said they have visited the lawmaker’s district recounted youth empowerment, agriculture, education and infrastructure development; as well as promoting peace, unity and national reconciliation as some of the achievements of the lawmaker that warrants him the award.

PACA is a pro-democracy and advocacy group in Liberia that has existed for twenty years.

Baye said as part of the twentieth anniversary of the organization, members and officials see it befitting to honor the Nimba County district seven lawmaker because he has demonstrated and continues to ensure exemplary leadership even as the country is grappling with numerous challenges further exacerbated by the novel coronavirus.

In his acceptance speech, the excited lawmaker said he did not know that people and organizations were following his works as the people’s representative.

Representative Domah who is being dubbed by many as ‘lawmaker with borders’ because of his generosity said the recognition and certification came as a surprise.

He said “I didn’t see this coming because there has been no time the organization has ever contacted my office for this.”

He urged the organization to keep flagging the ills in society and holding leaders accountable in the discharge of their respective duties as public servants.

He later dedicated the award to the people of his district, assuring them that he will keep pushing their agendas and pursuing their benefits.
