Renowned Nigerian Cleric Visits Liberia

A renowned Nigerian cleric and Chief Executive Officer of the Dr. Yomi-Sholoye Foundation, reverend Mother Dr. Yomi- Sholoye is in Liberia as guest of Montserrado County electoral district 13 Representative Edward P. Flomo.

The “Dr. Yomi- Sholoye Foundation” is a Christian based institution in Nigeria with branches in all parts of Nigeria.

The renowned Nigerian Prelate who arrived in the country as head of a thirty-man delegation is on a humanitarian visit which will enable her asses prospect in investing in the Liberian economy especially Montserrado County electoral district#13

Since the team’s arrival, Mother Yomi-Sholoye has held discussions with House Speaker Bhofal Chamber and other religious institutions.

Speaking at a welcoming ceremony, Dr. Yomi Sholoye pledged her institution’s commitment to invest in Liberia and cater to orphanages in the district.

Mother Sholoye who made the pledge during her visit at the National Legislature in the office of speaker Chambers noted that her institution is prepared to invest in the economy of the country.

She recalled her first interaction with Representative Edward P. Flomo, which took place in Nigeria at the launch of her Foundation, saying the Liberian Lawmaker is a ‘man of humility.’

She revealed that it was based on the humility exhibited by the district#13 lawmaker during their interactions that she was moved to the conviction that a visit to Liberia would be a rewarding one, not a waste of time.

The notable cleric promised to do all within her powers and influence to impact the leadership and activities of the Montserrado county Lawmaker.

For his part, House Speaker Bhofal Chambers thanked the Reverend Mother for visiting the country, and noted that Liberia is open to business, describing her visit as something that will bring big relief to Montserrado electoral district 13 and the country at large.

He also lauded Representative Edward P. Flomo, the District’s lawmaker for always supporting the livelihoods of his people in the district, especially his timely intervention which led to the donation by Mother Ajayi.

Speaking earlier, Representative Flomo thanked Mother Sholoye for identifying with orphans, and less-fortunate people in the district.

He urged constituents of District 13 to take note of the humanity shown by the Woman of God and be inspired to make peace with, and show love for, one another something he said has the propensity to development the District.

The “Dr. Yomi- Sholoye Foundation” has distributed copy books, Rice, oil, cash among others items in the Barnesville, Nyanford town communities including people with hearing and speech impairment all benefited from the Foundation’s initiative.
